Support for families needing a temporary break in care giving is available.
After Care Program
An After Care Program provides support to individuals needing care following their day habilitation, or workday. It operates five days a week between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Hanover Center. This program is supported by the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
Saturday Drop-Off Respite Program
A Saturday Drop-Off Respite Program operates two Saturdays each month for five hours at the Hanover Center. Opportunities for socialization and recreation through structured activities as well as community outings are offered. The program is supported by the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and also available on a fee for service basis.
Respite Group Homes
Short and long term, as well as emergency overnight respite, is available in Hanover Township. Short term stays can run from one to 30 days and long term is available in emergency situations. Full accessibility and limited nursing support can be provided on a planned basis. The program is supported by the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
